Golden, medium body, bready, restrained bitterness Munich’s response to the foreign pilsner was the “Helles”. Less hop flavor and bitterness than Pilsner, the main highlight of Helles is its bready, malty character. It’s malty, balanced, easy-drinking character has earned it the title of “liquid bread”, and it is often served for breakfast in Germany. Helles won Gold at the GABF.

FOOD PAIRING // Helles goes very well with grilled sandwiches. Helles has a good relationship with shellfish, try it with our Shellfish Bowl. The sweetness of roast chicken, turkey and pork and the maltiness of this beer goes hand in hand while the carbonation and hop bitterness cuts through everything else.
